Students are inundated with countless emotions every day and it can be overwhelming. With this kit, you have everything you need to teach them to recognize and control those emotions and set them on the path to develop strong self-awareness and self-management skills. After completing this lesson, students will: Be able to identify emotions (what they look, sound, and feel like) and know what types of things trigger these emotions Use techniques to manage their emotions The included lesson plan will walk you through prep and instruction, making planning quick and easy. The unit lasts about 9-10 days (10-30 minutes per day). Throughout the lesson, students will explore six common feelings: Happy, Sad, Scared, Worried, Excited, and Angry. The set of six Emotion Balls represent these emotions and are used in some of the hands-on activities in this lesson. Students will create their own My Emotions booklet and a How I manage my emotions wheel. They will also work in groups to create posters with tips for regulating each emotion.
